David Stuart Pecora

January 14, 1964 ~ October 4, 2017 (age 53) 53 Years Old
David Stuart Pecora, 53, of Sunnyvale, California passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Dave was born to Michael and Bonnie Pecora at the Salt Lake County Hospital on January 14, 1964. After moving several times while his father was training to become a pediatrician, the family settled in Boise when David was five years old.

Dave attended Boise schools, including kindergarten at Cathedral of the Rockies, Monroe Elementary, East and South Jr High, and Boise High School. When he graduated from BHS in 1982, he joined his sister, Michelle, in becoming the third generation of Pecoras to do so. He attended Utah State University, graduating with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Dave began his career with Micron Technology, working there for many years, even temporarily working for them in Virginia. Later, he moved to San Jose, California in Silicon Valley to pursue his career in the computer industry.

While growing up, Dave loved to hike to lakes in the McCall area with his family. They spent summer vacations at their cabin in Donnelly. This is where he fell in love with fishing and waterskiing. He eventually bought his own Mastercraft waterski boat. As an adult, he spent his leisure time at the Donnelly cabin, either waterskiing or snowmobiling depending on the season. He also became an avid mountain biker.

Dave was an avid sports fan. He was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and a subscriber to the Minnesota Vikings Weekly. His favorite basketball player was Dr. J. He traveled frequently to the Seattle area to watch Mariner games. He grew up as a BSU Bronco fan and loved to discuss the team’s successes and woes with his family.

Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Linge Pecora, and survived by his wife, Koran Pecora and stepsons Hero and Tomo; father, Dr. Michael S. Pecora, and stepmother, Renee Pecora of Boise; brother, Tony (Shelley and niece, Gracie) of Orange County; sisters, Michelle (Rob Svejkovsky) of Salem, Oregon and Christine (Mike Halverson and nieces, Nora and Neva) of Bozeman, Montana and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
