My lifelong friend... The memories you have given will remain cherished. I am blessed to have many of them .
I was too young to fully understand and being the only one of color for a while I had no reference point as to really why. I met you In a grade school of a town who was a little behind the times. There were some issues to say the least. You became and remained a true friend. I remember getting permission slips from our parents to leave grade school campus to go to lunch at Grizzly Bear. No one else was doing that........Man we were big time! As simple as it seems I have the privilege of remembering that day every time I go there. This is true for so many memories of you. Camping with you and your family always extremely fun, memories of learning the dos and donts of life with you ( somtimes more than once) are irreplaceable, as are you my friend.
I often thought of how easy you always made it to be your friend. Normal issues in friendships happen and we all work to get past them. I did not labor in the slightest of even minor issues. Never. It was almost too easy for me. We always clicked . So easy that life got in the way of LIFE Call it taking it for granted. I don't know for sure. It sounds a little backwards but It appitimizes in some strange way just how good of a friend you have been to me. Knowing we could pick up where we left off at any point. ...and we will.
Another of many memories of you were words exchanged between us after your wedding. It meant a lot to me and I always continued to feel the same. I am glad it was said.
My heart Is with your family as I pray they reach for Gods strength and peace in mist of their loss. Rest In Peace my lifelong friend.
