Harold Robert Dodd passed away Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Kalispell, Montana, October 9, 1930. He was the son of James and Vera Dodd, and was the oldest of 3 children. He has two sisters, Donna Adams and Nancy Logg.

After graduating from Nampa High School in 1950, Harold joined the Air National Guard. He helped open Air Force bases in Valdosta, Georgia and Victorville, California, before spending the remaining time of his career stationed at Gowen Field in Boise. Harold retired after 30 years from the Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant on July 27, 1980. After retiring, he went to work at the Bazaar Dept. Store, and then the Emporium Dept. Store.

Harold also enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing. He spent many years camping with his family in McCall, ID when the kids were at home, then spending many summers camping in the RV Park in Donnelly, ID.

As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, Harold loved having family and friends around close. He also served in the LDS church in many capacities, and served as a voluntary Temple worker.

Harold is survived by his wife Luella, his 3 children and their (spouses); Deanna (Jerry) Stone of Eugene OR, Dennis (Sherry) Dodd of Meridian, ID, and Lonnie (Kathy) Dodd of Middleton, ID. He also has numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

A special thanks to ComForCare Home Care, and Doctors Hospice of Idaho for the love and care given to Harold in his last few days.

Memorial services will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at the LDS chapel located at 190 S. Locust Grove Rd. in Meridian, ID. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service. Memorial services will start at 11:00 AM, followed by Graveside services at Terrace Lawns Cemetery.
