Former 12th Ward Bishop Owen Davis and Mary Ellen Davis blessed our Litster family with their smiling graciousness and service in Southeast Boise. The many friends who attended the funeral on 1/6/2018 were inspired by the tributes and music of their 8 children and posterity. “Dad’s hobbies and interests were us children.” Recently I again visited the assisted living center and saw Mary Ellen’s Sunday routine. She helped Owen out of the van, into his wheelchair, into the Sacrament Meeting, then sat to play the hymns on piano. Owen would greet me with a smile as she said, “You remember Sister Litster Frost.” Their respect and love for each other will continue in marriage and family into the next!

Dear Mary Ellen and Family,
We are sorry for you loss. Owen was a special friend and a wonderful role model. He did well in his marriage, family life, profession, in his friendships and in his church service. He was an example to us all.
After nearly 82 years away from his heavenly abode, Owen has been called back to report on his stewardship and to receive the further light and knowledge his Heavenly Maker promised to give him. He sought his Heavenly Father in this life and whose face he shall behold in his new abode.
He fought a good fight and has kept the faith and has been true and faithful, He has now entered into the joy the Lord whom he served so well. He leaves the world better than he found it.
