Wanda Lois Rogers, 68, of Meridian, passed away on Thurs., Jan. 4, 2018 at her home in Meridian, with her loving husband Gordon at her side.
Wanda was born Sept. 23, 1949 in Pawnee City, NE. She and her family moved to Colorado and Kansas, settling in Idaho in 1955. Wanda attended schools in Wilder, Caldwell, and Notus. After high school, Wanda attended business school, where she trained in Data Management.
She moved to Boise, where she met and fell in love with Gordon Rogers. He loved and adored her and was captivated by her smile. They married in Carson City, Nevada on Oct. 7, 1972. During their 45 years of marriage, they lived in California and Idaho. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the outdoors and had many adventures together. Wanda retired from Wells Fargo due to health issues. She suffered with scleroderma and arthritis. In her retirement, she was involved with the Southern Idaho Scleroderma Support Group.
Wanda was a loving wife and a friend to many. She is survived by her husband Gordon, her brothers Harvey Anderson of Greenleaf, ID, and Carroll R. Anderson of Big Fork, MT, along with many extended relatives. She will be missed by the many people that she touched.
A memorial service will be held Wed., Jan. 10, 11:00 AM, at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise. Viewings will be held Tues., Jan. 9, from 6-8 PM, and also from 10-10:50 AM, before the service. A graveside service will follow at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4225 E. Fairview Ave., Meridian.
