Our Valued Staff

  • Dorn R. Rademacher
    Dorn R. Rademacher, Funeral Director / Managing Partner

    Dorn started his career in funeral service on October 1, 1979 at Relyea Funeral Chapel. He worked for Mr. Russell A. Relyea, the founder of the business. In early 1982, Dorn was approaced by Mr. Relyea to purchase the funeral home. On October 1, 1982, Dorn and his father-in-law, Mr. G. Conway Grant purchased the business from the Relyea family. Upon Conway's retirement in 1991, Dorn purchased his 1/2 interest, becoming the sole owner of the funeral home. Dorn is the Managing Partner of Relyea Funeral Chapel and recently celebrated 31 years with the funeral home in October 2010.

    Dorn has been married to Holley (Grant) Rademacher for 32 years. He has four children and presently seven grandchildren. His hobbies include skiing, boating and golfing.

  • Charles R. Grunig
    Charles R. Grunig, Funeral Director

    Charlie has been with Relyea Funeral Chapel for five years. He has been married to Sarah for ten years and they have three daughters and a son. Charlie is a member of the Idaho Funeral Service Association and is busily engaged with his local church.

    Charlie's hobbies include reading, fishing, camping and jogging.

  • Heather W. Felkel
    Heather W. Felkel, Funeral Director Apprentice / Admin. Assistant

    Heather grew up in Northern Idaho. She has spent the last 12 years of her life traveling and working as a model, singer, and actress . She is currently working on her apprenticeship in Mortuary Science and has been with Relyea Funeral Chapel since May of 2010.

    Heather lives in Boise with her husband, Jim. She has three dogs: Grrr (Boxer/Terrier Mix), Zim (Pug), and Lily (Boxer/Pug Mix). She is involved with many "Dog Lover" groups in the Boise area.

    Heather's hobbies include reading, cross-stitching, photography, and exploring the area.

  • Derk B. Heiner
    Derk B. Heiner, Funeral Planning Advisor

    Derk started at Relyea Funeral Chapel in 1993 as a a pre-planning advisor, helping families pre-plan their desired arrangements ahead of the time of need.

    Derk is a native Idahoan, born in Burley, raised in Cambridge and now living in Melba. His parents are Lynn and Jeanne Heiner of Melba, Idaho. He is the third of 12 children.

    Derk married Lisa L. Lenz in 1985 and they have 5 children.

    Derk's hobbies and interests are his family, his involvement in the LDS Church, waterskiing, basketball, horseback riding and training horses.

  • Debbie Wilde
    Debbie Wilde, Admin. Assistant

    Debbie is our newest member here at Relyea Funeral Chapel, she started with us in February of 2011. She is married to Randy Wilde and together they have ten children and 18 grandchildren. She is the proud owner of two dogs, Amber, a Golden Retreiver, and Sodo, a Miniature Poodle.

    Debbie's hobbies are scrapbooking and yardwork.

  • Ronald L. Howard
    Ronald L. Howard, Funeral Assistant

    Ron has resided in the Boise area since 1979. He has been with Relyea Funeral Chapel since October of 2003.

    In April of 1999, Ron married Lynda Huston (Stewart) Howard and they reside in Meridian. Together they have six children, three girls and three boys. Presently he has 15 grandchildren.

    Ron is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attends the Locust Grove Ward. He enjoys traveling to see family and spending time with his family that live here locally.
