Funeral Director / Managing Partner
Dorn started his career in funeral service on October 1, 1979 at Relyea Funeral Chapel. He worked for Mr. Russell A. Relyea, the founder of the business. In early 1982, Dorn was approached by Mr. Relyea about purchasing the funeral home. On October 1, 1982, Dorn and his father-in-law, Mr. G. Conway Grant, purchased the business from the Relyea family. Upon Conway's retirement in 1991, Dorn purchased his 1/2 interest, becoming the sole owner of the funeral home. Dorn is the Managing Partner of Relyea Funeral Chapel and recently celebrated 38 years with the funeral home in October 2017.
Dorn has been married to Holley (Grant) Rademacher for 38 years. He has four children and eleven grandchildren at present. His hobbies include skiing, boating, golfing, and spending quality time with family.
Funeral Director
Charlie started his career at the Relyea Funeral Chapel in the fall of 2005. He is married and has three daughters and a son. Charlie serves as a member of the Idaho Funeral Service Association and is actively involved with his local church.
Charlie enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, and reading.
Funeral Director
Albert started working in the funeral service industry in
2015, after working as a Deputy Sheriff for Ada County for 10 years, and is a
licensed Mortician. Albert has been married to Laurie Dow Johnston for 19 years
and together they have four daughters. Albert and his family love the great
whitewater rafting rivers in Idaho and spend as much of their spare time
rafting them as they can.
Funeral Planning Advisor
Derk started at Relyea Funeral Chapel in 1993 as a pre-planning advisor, helping families their desired arrangements ahead of their time of need.
Derk is a native Idahoan. He was born in Burley, was raised in Cambridge, and is now living in Melba. His parents are Lynn and Jeanne Heiner of Melba, Idaho.
Derk married Lisa L. Lenz in 1985. They have five children and seven grandchildren.
Derk's hobbies and interests are his family, waterskiing, basketball, horseback riding and training horses.
Funeral Planning Advisor
Megan joined the
Relyea team in February of 2020 as a legacy specialist. Her passion is helping
individuals realize a sense of empowerment, connection, and meaning. Megan
offers pre-planning with an emphasis on legacy ~ co-creating plans that honor
both personal values and human interconnectedness.
Megan is an Idaho
native, born and raised in Grangeville and currently residing in Nampa with the
loves of her life: her husband, Terrence, and her two-year-old son, Isaac. Her
passions include reading, writing, podcasting, skiing, Pilates, playing games
with family, and having imaginative adventures with her son.
Administrative Assistant
Cindy has worked for the Chapel since 2017 and appreciates the opportunity to work with a great team and for the families that come through our doors.
Cindy has been married to Kris since 1983 and has three adult children (and two adorable grand-pups!) that she enjoys during off hours. A good conversation, a good cup of coffee and time outdoors are some of Cindy's favorite activities.
Administrative Assistant / Ambassador
Erin joined the Relyea family
as an administrative assistant and ambassador in 2021 after working in event planning and coordination. She
is deeply passionate about serving and uplifting others, and is active in her
local church. Erin loves spending time with her fiancé and children, singing
and playing music, and enjoying nature in the beautiful Boise foothills.
Funeral Director Intern
Andrea
has been a part of the Funeral profession since 2008. She has a passion for
helping others especially during times of grief and loss. She is married with 3
daughters and 3 dogs who keep her very busy.
In
her free time, she enjoys traveling with family, cycling and painting.
