Alice Snow Johnson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on July 14, 2018, at the age of 78. She spent the last four years sharing the home of her son, Evon, and his family.
Alice was born in Provo, Utah, to Van and Blanche Snow on August 8, 1939. She was the third of four children. When she was 15, her family moved to Meridian, Idaho, where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at BYU. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Spanish. She married Glen Johnson in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1968. They moved to Emmett, where they raised four children. Sadly, after 40 years, their marriage ended. Alice was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She made it a priority to take her children to church each week.
Alice's lifelong joy was being a mother. She loved to sew: she enjoyed making clothes for her children and beautiful, detailed quilts for her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and took great pleasure in beautifying her yard with flowers and harvesting from her vegetable garden. Alice loved music - square dancing and playing the piano brought her joy. We will miss her smile and contagious laughter. Alice is preceded in death by her parents and her older sister, Patsy Ann.
Alice is survived by her brother Neil, sister Karen, son Evon (Angela), son Gregg (Lisa), daughter Kristina (Chris), daughter Gina, and eight grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the numerous nurses, aides, and hospice workers for their loving care.
Services will be held at the LDS Stake Center, 980 W. Central Rd., in Emmett, Idaho, Friday, July 20, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior from 10-10:45 a.m. The burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
