Tribute

Andrew Scott Clark, Age 27, passed away on September 17th 2020 unexpectedly of natural causes while on a family vacation in Miami, FL. Andrew was born on November 16, 1992, in Glen Dale, WV to his loving parents Bradley “Scott” and Shelli Clark. He spent his childhood close to his maternal grandmother, Dolly, who lived down the street. He grew up in one home on Glenwood Ave, which was filled with love and the most extravagant holidays thanks to his loving family. When he was very young he enjoyed his tickle me Elmo, drum sets, running around the house naked and helping his father update their home with various tools. As he grew into an older child he attended a catholic pre-school and then transitioned into McMinch elementary. As a child he enjoyed playing with Lincoln logs and GI Joes, and had a village of amazing action figures. He loved his grandma Dolly’s butter sandwiches and his dog Sargent who was a faithful and loyal German Sheppard. He also loved playing baseball with his father as a child. As he continued to grow he attended Moundsville Jr. High and John Marshall high school. During high school, Andrew became very studious and developed a love for both wrestling and football. He enjoyed football more because he loved being embraced for his large and powerful stature. Many embraced his charm, and he was always kind to everyone. He was always a rock and a support to all people who surrounded him. When his Grandmother passed away during his high school years he was there to comfort his mother and kept her memory alive with the loving stories he told of her selfless and beautiful life.

After completing high school, Andrew attended college at Wheeling Jesuit University where he studied to obtain his bachelors of science and nursing (BSN). In his second year, Andrew met Autumn Webster, who had come to WV to attend school at the same university to study physical therapy. He always said he knew he would marry her the first day he met her. She was in WV because that was the only school she got into and after much prayer had decided to make the journey from Idaho. After 2 years of dating he proposed in the city of Pittsburgh at a fancy restaurant that is reached only by gondola. Andrew always made everything extravagant. He was a man of God and loved church. He picked out Autumn’s dream engagement ring without ever consulting her. His taste was luxurious and impeccably classy and timeless. Andrew and his fiancé both graduated college on the same day in May of 2015. They had worked through college together as a team. He had graduated Suma cum lade with his BSN degree.

Soon after, he was accepted into Pacemaker Arrhythmias Technology Institute of Greenville, SC. He applied after a teacher named Vera had noticed his remarkable ability to succeed in the cardiac studies. Andrew was not sure if he would be able to attend due to the cost and the housing. After just a few days God allowed all things to move forward. Andrew finished his courses and landed an amazing job with Med-Tronic as a cardiac device specialist in Northern KY. During this time, his parents provided a beautiful wedding for the two of them in Moundsville, WV.

At age 22, Andrew and his wife moved to their very first apartment and shortly after they found out God had blessed them with fraternal boy/girl twins. His 4-year-old children, Liam Bradley and Aleah Laurel were born in Kentucky on May 6, 2016. This may have been one of the proudest moments of his life. Andrew and his wife bought their first home with an in-ground swimming pool when he was 23 years old. He was so handy that he put a strobe light in his pool. He enjoyed late night swims with lights and loud country music. He loved all music except jazz! He enjoyed swimming and playing with his twins in the pool. He learned how to do a backflip off his diving board and this was by far his favorite party trick. He enjoyed bourbon, hunting, and collecting Papi 12 year and Weller and waiting in line for single barrel releases of rare bourbons.

On November 2018, Andrew decided to relocate his family back to his wife’s hometown, the beautiful Boise, Idaho (also known as God’s country). Here he moved to the foothills and took up mountain biking, dirt biking, and enjoyed spending time at the Avimor shooting range. He kept his family traditions alive by continuing to provide elaborate holiday traditions. One year later, Andrew’s parents were blessed with the ability to relocate to Mountain Home, ID. He enjoyed time with his parents both in Boise and Mountain Home. He loved his career with Medtronic and spent most of his days reprogramming heart’s electrical pathways and giving others the chance at a longer life. He was close with his co-workers and enjoyed dirt biking with them. He spent his time with his children and family playing in the cul-de-sac and watching his children drive their power wheels for hours and hours on end. He also enjoyed fishing and teaching his kids how to catch a “big buh buh” in the neighborhood pond. He bought his children a pw50 for their 4th birthday, and loved teaching them how to ride dirt bikes in his parent’s backyard.

Andrew was a gentle soul whose greatest concern in life was his family and others. He always put himself last. He was a true example of service and self-sacrifice. He loved praying and talking about the lord. His life was an example of living true to ones faith and character. Andrew was a gentleman to the very end of his earthly life. He always held the door for others. For his entire marriage, he opened the car door on the passenger side for his wife whenever they went on an outing. He was never ostentatious or boastful. He was always humble and kind. He lived out many of his dreams of marriage, becoming a father, and finding a wonderful career and he never forgot to help the next one in line.

Andrew is survived by his parents Bradley “Scott” Clark and Shelly Clark, his wife Autumn Clark, and his cherished twins Liam and Aleah Clark, as well as his paternal grandmother Carol and maternal grandfather Jake. He lives on in his best friend’s hearts including: Joshua Longworth, Joshua Dobbs, Justin Goode, Jimmy Henderson, Kasey Clutter, Noah Price, Jerry Markey, Nikki Slonaker, Alissa Leach, Jeff Bachman, Christopher (Topher), Scott Hannover, Neil, and his loving neighbors.

Andrew will be remembered by his adorable grin, kindness to everyone, his love for music, sarcastic sense of humor, passion for fatherhood, his affinity for mountain biking, and his steady compassionate heart. His love was like a river, it never stopped. He was the reason that people smiled and always felt secure. His quiet confidence inspired me to do things I never thought I could do. He demonstrated a willingness and ability to fix anything and anyone broken. He will be missed and remembered by every life he touched. He is in heaven now and is a painter of the lights in the sky. He will continue to bring light to others. He is with us when the wind blows, and near us when the deer come. He is in God and always with us.

With the deepest love humanly possible, until we meet again,

Thank you Andrew Scott Clark for the amazing opportunity to be a part of your earthly life.
