Angel Desire Sandoval

On December 27, 2021, our beloved mom, sister, daughter, aunt and meemaw went to sleep only to awaken to the open arms of our loving Savior. Angel was born May 9, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona – eldest daughter to Lisa Fernandez and Erminio Sandoval, Jr.

Angel is survived by her three lovely daughters, Symphony (Gradon) Gutierrez, Shashona Durham and Echo Durham. Meemaw to her grandson Grae “turtle”, who she loved tremendously. Her mom Lisa and siblings - Carlos, Cynthia, Sharee, Melinda and Mercedes. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Angel loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Simplest of pleasures brought great joy to Angel. She volunteered and worked for The Road Home; she loved our unsheltered friends. Angel was generous and big-hearted offering her own things to those in need.

Angel had a very deep devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and she would be seen writing letters to him and leaving prayers in her prayer box. We know and believe that we will see Angel again and we trust in the Lord’s promise as it reads in 2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

A Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Angel’s life, January 8, 2022 at Victory Outreach Church – 2900 S West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT - from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Potluck luncheon immediately following the service. We invite family and friends to bring a meal to share with Angel’s family.
