Audelia M Garcia

May 21, 1958 ~ February 2, 2021 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Tribute

Audelia Garcia, 62, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, of a severe case of pneumonia. She spent 18 days in the hospital fighting for her life and was determined to the end, bringing all the strength she could muster.

Audelia was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, on May 21, 1958. Her father, Antonio Navarro, and mother, Francisca Molina Navarro, had 5 children. Audelia was the second oldest of her siblings. She married Cesilio Garcia on September 1, 1977. She loved her children and would do anything to take care of all their needs. She loved kids, and she had many nieces and nephews ready to accept her love. Ecstatic is the word that describes how she felt about her soon-to-arrive grandchild. Audelia set about to provide for her family by taking on different jobs wherever the family moved. These included stints as a delivery driver, processing plant worker, retail worker, and kindergarten teacher, among others. A crowning achievement was her bachelor’s degree from Boise State. She retired after a long career as a Floral Designer, which had also allowed her to cultivate prolific skills in many different types of crafts. In her retirement, she pursued quilting, with nieces and nephews looking forward to receiving one of her signature pillow quilts.

Audelia’s passing leaves to mourn her loss her husband Cesilio Garcia of Nampa, ID; her children, Cecilia Garcia and Nina Garcia, both of Boise, ID; her brother Fred Navarro of West Richland, WA; her many nieces, nephews and their children; and her cousins from both Texas and California. She joins her parents, her brother Marc Navarro, and her uncle Gilberto Navarro, who preceded her on this journey.

Three words that sum up Audelia’s life are love, determination, and generosity. She brought an underlying strength, a conviction to principles, and a sense of right and wrong. She would help people until there was nothing left to give. She made it easy to look up to her. We will always remember that in our Mom, Guide, and Friend.
