Carolyn "Candy" (Vanderford) Negus

Carolyn "Candy" (Vanderford) Negus passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise, Idaho. Candy was born April 8, 1941, in Payette, Idaho, to Ace and Abby Vanderford. Her family moved to Boise when she was in grade school. Candy graduated from Boise High School in 1959 and then attended college at Boise Junior College, where she met her husband, Fred Negus. Candy and Fred were married June 1, 1961. They moved to Hines, Oregon, in 1979, where Candy served on the City Council for ten years and then as Mayor for two years. Candy also worked with the Cub Scouts, served as the PTA president, and ran her own clothing store for women, Candy's Fashions.

Candy is survived by her husband Fred, son Tere, and sister Jeanette (Bruce) Spofford, and many nephews and nieces.

Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, 11:00am, at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, with a viewing from 10:00-10:55am before the service. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Payette, Idaho.
