Carolyne "Jean" Roy

Carolyne “Jean” Roy, 75, of Boise, ID, passed away on October 14, 2021. Jean was born on January 14, 1946, to Guy and Priscilla (Buster) Hays. After completing high school at Jerome High school, Jean enrolled at the College of Southern Idaho, then moved to Denver, CO, where she finished her Diploma of Data Communications through the Parks School of Business. After college, she moved to Boise, ID, and started working for Norm Bishop Volkswagen in 1968. There, Jean fell in love with her soul mate, who was racing down the shop on a motorcycle with one wheel on the ground and big smile. Lyle and Jean were married on June 19, 1970. They enjoyed going to the racetrack, motorcycle riding, camping, wildlife, cats, and spending time with family and friends. Jean enjoyed traveling with Lyle on the motorcycle, with the camp trailer, and in the car. Her favorite trips were to Alaska and Hawaii.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Priscilla Hays and sisters Hillary Boswell and Mary Hays.

Jean is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lyle Roy, daughter Amy Lee Roy Wheeler, son-in-law Mike, grandsons Tyler and Evan, daughter Kathy Roy, brothers Karl Hays (Denise), Shelly Hays (Rose), Jeff Hays (Deb) and sisters Linda Hays, and Carrie Gause (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.
