Chrysta Hunter

It is with deepest sympathy we announce the passing of Chrysta Hunter nee Switek formerly of 54 Alice Fisher Crescent Way, North Lynn, England who sadly passed on May 26th, 2022, at age 73.

Chrysta was born December 10, 1948, in Diepholz, West Germany to Stefania Switek (Kaszkow) and Jozef Switek. On September 16, 1978, she married James Hunter, MSgt USAF, in Nicholas Chapel in Kings Lynn, England. Together they had their son Nicholas.

She lived with her son Nicholas of Meridian Idaho. Chrysta fought serious health issues over the past 20+ years. She succumbed to her struggle on Thursday May 26, 2022, at Vibra Hospital of Boise, Idaho. Many of her family and closest friends surrounded her in her last moments.

Chrysta graduated in 1963 from the Gaywood Park High School for girls. She talked of her first employment at the Startrite shoe Factory, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England. One of her favorite jobs.
                                 
Chrysta loved to sew and was a talented seamstress. Her gardening and knitting skills were amazing. She loved life and was especially fond of children and animals. Kino, Jimmy, and Molly, her pets, will sorely miss her.

Chrysta’s loving family and friends will remember her for her unconditional love of children.

Chrysta was predeceased in death by her loving husband Jim on 06/22/2001. She is survived by her son Nicholas Hunter and her two brothers Jerzy (Michelle) Switek, and Ryzard (Elaine) Switek.

Some of Chrysta’s favorite charitable organizations were St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Volunteers Firefighters Foundation, Disabled Veterans National Foundation, and The Public Broadcasting Service.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Relyea Funeral Home, 318 N. Latah Street, Boise, Idaho 83706.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on June 2nd at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 6300 N Meridian Road, Meridian, Idaho 83646. Followed by a burial at 3:00pm at the Meridian Cemetery at 895 E Franklin Road, Meridian 83642.

Donations can be made in honor of Chrysta to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
