Darren Robert Haskin

Darren Robert Haskin of Boise passed away at age 56 on July 5, 2018, of natural causes. Born in Boise on June 30, 1962, Darren was the middle son to Grace Ann and Robert Haskin. He is survived by older brother Darrell (Carla) Haskin and sister Debby Haskin. He is also survived by his children: Joseph (Karissa), Jennifer, Michael (Nadine) and Madison Haskin, and his five grandchildren: Monty, Kaden, Odessa, Kaiya and Ila. He shared these children and grandchildren with former wife Doris Elaine Haskin, with whom he maintained a close friendship throughout his life. He would later meet and devote himself to the now deceased Karen Cornelius and her children, Paige and Jonathon.

Darren was a remarkable man of great faith. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the Madrid, Spain Mission for the LDS Church. He held two college degrees and always excelled professionally in all positions held. As a natural born leader, he was always quick to get promoted. He also received countless prestigious awards, along with bonuses, being sent on exotic trips and sent to private concerts. Darren was an extraordinary spirit with immeasurable strength, faith and dignity as well as an exceptional father and friend. He was a uniquely precious and special gift to this world and will be sorely missed by so many.

Services will be held at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., with interment at Morris Hill Cemetery. Following the grave dedication, a luncheon will be held at the LDS Chapel located at 3020 W. Cherry Lane, Boise. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for research for DIPG, as Darren's 4-year-old granddaughter is afflicted with this terminal brain cancer.
