Tribute

Eli Robert Nash, beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend, unexpectedly departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the age of 32. He is survived by his father, Guy Nash, his mother, Marcie Lynne Morris, his step mother, Kim Nash, his step father, Erik Morris, his brothers, Michele (Mick) Attardo, Jordan Nash, his sister, Sydney Clover Nash, his grandmother Meredith North, numerous uncles, aunts, and enough cousins to fill up this entire page if listing their names. Eli was predeceased by his grandparents, Dennis Nash, Philip and Carla Kimball, Ronald Sr. and Billie Jean Murphy, and lastly by his cousin, Cameron Coder.

Eli was born in Washington state, but spent most of his life living in Idaho. He was briefly married to Megan Vivian Nash and considered her the love of his life and best friend. When we chatted on the phone, he loved to tell me about their camping adventures. He also enjoyed cooking, music, and loved animals so much that he became a certified dog trainer. Eli lived at his uncle Sean Murphy's house and was the caregiver of Sean's 'medical need' dogs. So, when I went over to the house the other night to spend some time in Eli's bedroom, there was a little tan and white dog who seemed extra happy to see me. I was told this was Eli' dog, Benny. Then later when I was saying goodbye and getting ready to leave, I noticed that Benny was just laying by Eli's bedroom door waiting for him to come home. It broke my heart knowing that his pal, Benny misses him dearly!

Right after high school, Eli and his best friend Matt decided to enlist in the Army and were bot stationed in Fort Hood, TX, then deployed to Iraq. Although Eli did not complete his term of service, his discharge paperwork shows that he did receive a National Defense Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star, an Army Service Ribbon, and an Overseas Service Ribbon and note under his Discharges as Under Honorable Conditions.

A funeral service will be held for Eli at Relyea Funeral Chapel on January 28, 2023. A private viewing will take place from 3:00-3:45pm and a memorial service at 4:00pm will follow. All who knew Eli are welcome to attend.
