Tribute

It is with great sorrow and sadness to announce the recent passing of our beloved Lizzie. Lizzie passed away October 31, 2021, after years of battling depression and severe anxiety. Elizabeth Antoinette Thornton was born to Rebecca Volpe and Jeramie Thornton on November 29, 2006, in Wasilla, AK. Lizzie was beautiful inside and out. She was a ball of energy, quickly receiving the nickname “Cannonball” at a young age, due to once she started there was no stopping her until she was out of energy! She had a competitive spirt with no fear but also had one of the most tender and loving hearts that brought joy to everyone she encountered. She loved drawing, painting, dancing, baking and creating new and interesting things. She was passionate in standing up for others that she considered disadvantaged and had no fear in confronting whatever objective there may be.

Lizzie loved Alaska and Hawaii. She took in everything that these beautiful destinations had to offer. She loved traveling, visiting her cousins, grandparents and always kept us on our toes.

A celebration of life will be held at TRICA, located at 1406 W. Eastman St., Boise, Idaho 83702, on Wednesday, November 10, 3:30pm-5:30pm. The family would like to extend an invitation to share and celebrate Lizzie’s life. A private graveside service for family will be held at Pioneer Cemetery at 10am the same day.

Lizzie is survived by her father Jeramie Thornton; sister Isabella Thornton; stepmother Jackie George; stepbrothers Christian and Cason George; grandfathers and grandmothers, Vincent and Tricia Volpe Sr., Steven and Brenda Boyle, Kevin and Geri McCann; uncle and aunts, Vincent and Tricia Volpe Jr., Kaitlyn McCann, Jill Thornton, Joshua Thornton, Jeff and Roxanne Staha; cousins, Jacob, Brodie and Sophia Volpe, Tristan, Conner, and Nate Thornton.
