Tribute

Grace Jeanette Holloway Seegmiller passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021, in Boise, ID.

Jeanette was born on July 15, 1953 in Culver City, CA, to Stanley Holloway and Grace Jeanette Burdge. She grew up in Culver City, enjoying horseback riding, camping, fishing, and traveling. Jeanette also had a deep love for choir and music. She enlisted in the Air Force in November 1974 and served our country faithfully as a radar technician until August 1978. She was also an expert marksman and her love of shooting targets continued as fun outings with her family.

Jeanette married Richard Lee Seegmiller on June 23, 1978, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakland California Temple. Together, they had 5 children between 1981 and 1993: Wendy Jeanette, Ginny Lea, Eric Stanley, Stacy Jean, and Scott Taylor. Jeanette gave her whole life to her children, never missing a soccer game, choir or band concert, theater performance, or impromptu road trip, and worked tirelessly to support each of them in all of their endeavors. They are her pride and joy.

Jeanette found a passion in health care and worked multiple jobs as a nurse at facilities throughout the valley. She ensured compassionate and loving care to all her patients and remained dedicated, detail oriented, and hardworking until her retirement in 2019.

Jeanette was incredibly creative and crafty and would make wreaths for her children, including the beautiful flower arrangements for each of their weddings as well as additional family events. She led a life of genuine kindness, service, and devotion to others, especially towards her children, extended family, and many friends. Despite every hardship she experienced, Jeanette persevered with hope and cheerfulness. We will deeply miss her generous and selfless spirit.

She is survived by her 5 children, Wendy Jeanette Fort (Wayne) of Chewelah, WA, Ginny Lea Sharpe (Breandan) of Caldwell, ID, Eric Stanley Seegmiller (Samantha) of Mandan, ND, Stacy Jean Carter (Adam) of Caldwell, ID and Scott Taylor Seegmiller (Hope) of Meridian, ID. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Logan Fort, Tristin Seegmiller, Ronan Seegmiller, and Tru Carter; along with a sister, Jill Grundvig, and brother, Charles (Chuck) Epperson; multiple nieces and nephews, and her additional family in life, Dave and Dixie Seegmiller, Pete and Denise Stadther, and Deborah Rush (Don).

She was preceded in death by Stanley Holloway, Grace Jeanette Burdge Holloway, and Richard Lee Seegmiller.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 1, from 10:00am to 10:45am, and a funeral service will follow on at 11:00am at the location listed below. A short graveside ceremony will follow the service at the Meridian Cemetery.
