Welcome to the memorial page for

Harry Thomas Cavin

May 2, 1935 ~ January 27, 2018 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Harry passed peacefully in Boise, Idaho, on January 27, 2018. He was 82 years old. Harry was born May 2, 1935, in Tacoma, Washington, to parents Claude and Ruth. Harry married Beverly Howard, the love of his life on July 26, 1956 in Boise, Idaho. They welcomed their daughter and only child, Cami Sue, on August 4, 1958. Harry served in the Air Force, the Navy Reserves and the Air National Guard. He also drove logging truck and really enjoyed it. He enjoyed working hard to provide for the ones he cared for. He loved meeting new people, and everyone that met him thought he was so funny and such a great guy. He was an avid bowler and looked forward to bowling on all the leagues he was on throughout the years, especially the mixed league he was on with his wife. He bowled a perfect 300 game on Father's Day in 1973. He also liked to watch old western television series, like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He also liked Walker Texas Ranger so much that his grandsons, Brad and Scott, know the theme song to this day, word for word. At 60 years old, he began Martial Arts through the Boise School District. After attending with his grandsons, he went on to earn multiple black belt degrees in both Taekwondo and Hapkido. He also played guitar and sang in his younger years with his brothers and was very good at it. Harry was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family meant the world to him, and he loved them with all his heart. He will always be a Hero in the eyes of his "boys" - Brad and Scott. He would give the shirt off his back and his very last dime to help out his friends and family.

Harry is survived by his wife Beverly of 61 and a half years, his two grandsons Brad and Scott O'Neal, his sister Violet, sister-in-law Patricia, brother-in-law Jerry, and several great-grandkids, and nieces and nephews. With his passing, he joins his only daughter Cami, siblings, parents, in-laws Melvin and Dorothy, sister-in-law Barbara, and three brothers-in-law Jim, Ernie, and Bill. He will forever remain in everyone's hearts and be greatly missed by all who knew him.
