Janet Rae Herrera returned home to Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 4, 2019.
Janet was born April 5, 1936, to James Ray Boles and Dessie Mae Boles in the beautiful mountain town of Mackay, Idaho.
She spent her early life and teenage years in Mackay. She met her first husband Bennie Hernandez in 1954, while he was painting Mackay High School. They were soon married. They had eight children, four boys and four girls. They later divorced in 1976.
In October 1981, Janet married Max Herrera of Shelley, Idaho. They were together until Max passed away in 2010.
After Mackay, Idaho, Janet lived in Ogden, Utah. She was a long-time resident of Commerce City, Colorado, and Blackfoot, Idaho. She lived her last five years in Boise, Idaho.
Janet is preceded in death by her mother and father, the father of her children, Bennie Hernandez, her husband, Max Herrera, her daughter-in-law Doreen Hernandez, son-in-law Gilbert Chavez and her beloved little brother Steve Boles of Chubbuck, Idaho. She is also preceded in death by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins on the Lords and Lemmon side of the family and many of her in-laws.
Janet is survived by her eight children, Dennis (Susan) Hernandez of Pocatello, ID, Teresa Chavez of Ft. Morgan, CO, Bonnie (Ismael) Olives of Garden City, KS, Bennie John Hernandez of Weslaco, TX, Richard (Vicky) Hernandez of Montpelier, IN, Betty Hernandez of Brighton, CO, Steve (Jolene) Hernandez of Boise, ID, and Renee Hernandez of Thornton, CO; her beloved little sister, Laura Jepson, of Blackfoot, ID; 19 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.
