Jason Timothy Delgadillo, 38, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from a mountain biking accident in the Boise, Idaho foothills.
Jason was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 23, 1979 to Patty and Ernie Delgadillo. He grew up in Boise, Idaho, graduating from Borah High School. Jason went on to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mexico de Leon Region. Upon returning from his mission, he attended Boise State University, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
On July 25, 2003 Jason married Dana Kay Croshaw in the LDS Salt Lake City, Utah temple. Jason and Dana have five children; Colby(13), Eva(11), Lilia(10), Ila(7) and Campbell(4).
Jason began his professional career at Wells Fargo as a teller, quickly moving up to the role of Loan Document Supervisor. He spent six years at Wells Fargo before taking on a position at Stock Building Supply as their Market Credit Manager - moving to Pocatello, Idaho and then on to San Antonio, Texas. He spent four years in this role before returning to Boise, Idaho to work as the Credit Manager for Agri Beef Co., where he worked for over seven years.
An entrepreneur at heart, Jason founded and managed J Delga Lighting, a Christmas lighting business, along with BoiseTrails.com, focused on creating a community for those to enjoy the trails system in the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas.
Passionate about the great outdoors of Idaho, Jason enjoyed snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping and mountain biking. He was an avid Boise State football fan and a BBQ connoisseur, always on the hunt for the best BBQ. He was a maker, with a woodworking project always in his garage. He enjoyed customizing furniture for his wife and family.
Family, faith and community were the most important parts of Jason’s life. He could often be found taking his children on adventures, spending quality time with them. Jason served the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the President of the Young Men Organization and as a Boy Scout Leader. A child at heart, he was passionate about mentoring youth.
Jason was a friend and support to everyone he came in contact with. He positively made a daily impact.
Jason is survived by his wife Dana; children Colby, Eva, Lilia, Ila and Campbell; parents Ernie and Patty, Boise, ID; and sister Melissa, San Angelo, TX.
