JoeAnn Patrick, age 86, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away on July 8, 2018 in Hemet, California.
JoeAnn was born August 28, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to Clifford Ross and Emma Lucille Salmen. JoeAnn was the oldest of three siblings. She moved to Boise in 1945 and graduated from Boise High School in 1949.
She married Edgar (Ted) Hawkins in 1951. Five children were born to this union. She and Ted later divorced. She married Keith T. Gates in December 1962. That marriage was short-lived due to his death eight months later, but JoeAnn was blessed with a daughter. She also had another marriage to Luis Araquistain that ended in divorce.
In 1977, JoeAnn married Leland (Pat) Patrick. Leland had five children from a previous marriage. He died in April 1994.
After Pat’s death, she met John Bisson, a widower, from Southern California. He was her companion until her death.
She worked for Fay Messinger’s State Farm Insurance Agency for 25 years. During those years, she helped out in several other State Farm agencies.
JoeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elaine McLean and her husbands. She is survived by her sister Mary Joyce Smith (Walter); children Stephanie Larson (Cornel), Daniel Hawkins, Craig Hawkins (Dawnell), Cynthia Sennick (Dusty), Tamara Lee (Rick) and Teresa Hatcher (Tim); 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place Monday, July 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4225 E. Fairview Ave., Meridian.
