Tribute

Joseph George Rosario, 55, died unexpectedly July 5, 2022, at St. Luke’s Meridian Hospital due to Kidney Failure. He was born July 29, 1966 in Sayville, New York, the son of George Rosario and Esther Starnes.

Joe graduated from Sayville High School Class of 1984. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Airforce in Mountain Home, Idaho. After his military service he went to North Idaho College and then onto University of Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He enjoyed substitute teaching and was liked by all his students.

Joe was an avid walker, hiker, camper and book reader. He enjoyed the outdoors and looking up at the night sky. Teaching, educating, and being in community with his brothers and sisters in Christ brought him much joy. He loved watching VHS tapes at all hours of the night.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Starnes, his stepfather, Jim Starnes, and many relatives. And leaves behind too many friends to list around the world and in his home state of Idaho.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 10:00 a.m., at Cole Community Church (address below). The service will be livestreamed (link to be provided later).

A potluck and sharing of memories will follow the service at 11:30 a.m. - bring a dish and a memory to share of Joe's life.

Joe will be laid to rest Thursday, September 22, 2022, 2:00 p.m., the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
