JOSEPHINE (CASTANO) EGGLESTON, age 82, passed away following a stroke on January 4, 2021.
Josie, as most people knew her, was born June 19, 1938 in San Francisco CA; to Alex and Matilda Castano. Josie enjoyed a childhood of family & many friends. Recognized for her talent of dance, arts & crafts, and style. She grew to love sewing, ceramics, entertaining, and cooking. Later raising 3 children. While enjoying all the San Francisco bay area had to offer, Josie also enjoyed camping and going to the beach. She married Ray Eggleston in June 1986 and moved to Salida CA. Together they often merged their talents of woodworking & crafts to give loving gifts to family & friends. From CA they moved to Boise ID; where together they built a custom home.

Josie is fondly remembered by her family, friends, and church family for making cards, handcrafted gifts, and enjoyed serving her community. Her greatest gift was compassion and the endless support of her children will be deeply missed.

Josie is survived by her loving husband Ray Eggleston, son Mark Asher, daughter Angela Asher, and granddaughter Michelle O’Gorman. She was also blessed with extended family, De Miller and Doreen Adams (step-daughters), many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Alex Castano and son Ralph Asher.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday Jan 14, 2021, 1:00 pm, at Eagle & Hazel LDS Chapel 6575 S. Eagle Rd Meridian ID 83642.
