Kaci Jo Furniss

Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, partner and friend, Kaci Jo Furniss, tragically left us on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022. Kaci was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on May 29th, 1978 and resided in Boise, Idaho at the time of her death. 

She was a successful business owner, serving patrons for over two decades. Kaci was a caring community member, generously providing meals and donations to many less fortunate. That same generosity made her the best gift giver in the family or even in a white elephant exchange. Kindness abated…Kaci’s competitive spirit was fierce as noted by any opponent, whether on the volleyball court, a game board, or poker table. It was good to be on her team, rather than face the wrath she could skillfully deliver in a match. Kaci could often be found traveling the world on a cruise ship or cheering on the Seahawks!

Throughout her entire life, she laughed and loved deeply. You could always count on Kaci’s razor sharp wit to make a spot-on comment or joke that would generate laughter to the point of tears. Even as a toddler, she would amuse…yet keep one humble.

Kaci is dearly loved and will be fondly and forever embraced in the family’s hearts and spirits:    by her daughters: Téa (father Michael) and Isabelle (father Seth); her parents Teresa and Keith; her sisters - Kelly, Alicia, Nikki, Carissa, Ariel and their significants Jamie, Justin, Nick, John and Jason; her many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, employees, and many many MANY friends. Kaci had special relationships with all, and was especially close to Deisa, her cousin and lifetime playmate. 

We know that Kaci is reconnecting with her father, David, her grandma, Ruth, and her best childhood friend, Cherise. 

To honor Kaci’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on Thursday, September 29th from 3-6pm at The Olympic, location 1009 Main Street, Boise, Idaho. We invite anyone who knew and loved Kaci to attend and remember her wonderful presence in our lives. We will share our love, stories and laughter.
