I am so sad to hear of the passing of Larry. I first met Elder Pond the first day I entered my new apartment in Clichy, a suburb of Paris. We shared the small apartment for several months until his transfer. Many years later, I arrived at church here in Bellevue WA and I heard a voice that sounded just like Larry Pond. I turned around and there was his brother, Ralph. It is indeed a small world.

I am so sorry to hear about Larry's accident and death. I called Corky and my dad to make them aware of Larry's passing. Losing a loved one is never easy. What a comfort the temple sealing and Gospel brings at difficult times like this. You are all in my prayers. Love always,
Wendy

I was deeply saddened to hear of Larry's passing. Over the years, I have thought of Larry often, and have reflected on our times together growing up in Twin Falls and being best friends during grade school, junior high, and high school. Phil Call, Larry, and I were almost inseperable in our high school years. Larry was a friend you could rely on and confide in, and he had many very special endearing qualities. I remember driving Larry to Twin Falls for one of our reunions, and really enjoying the time spent together that weekend. You will be sorely missed Larry, and in our hearts forever. God Bless Cindy and their family.

Larry was an extraordinary man. I had the blessing of first meeting Larry on the Middle Fork. He was an extraordinary boatman who willing shared his knowledge and worked tirelessly to make everyone's trip on the river a wonderful experience. I watched him take his first trip down the Middle Fork after his stroke. He knew that the river would help heal him and it did. He made memories for countless people. I am blessed to have known Larry. My heart tells me that he will have camp set up, ready to debate Ralph as to the number of briquettes that should be put on the dutch, when we all join him. To his family, thank you for sharing him with so many and my thoughts are with you.

I was sorry to hear of Larry's death. He led an active productive life, overcoming many challenges and accomplishing much.

I remember Larry from scouting in the 1950's. He and I were members of a somewhat ill fated "50" Mile Hike beginning near Camp Bradley in the Sawtooth"s one summer. Ill fated because the leader of our hike had never taken it before and took a wrong turn the first day, leading us to make it into more like a 60 or 70 mile hike. Our wandering took us by Dagger Falls, which may have been the first, of what sounds like over a hundred of times, Larry was there. When I would run into him in later years he would always bring up this trip. I know he will be missed, but all who knew him can know they were fortunate to be a part of his life.
