Larry James Powell

With heavy hearts, at the age of 70, we announce the death of Larry James Powell (Boise, Idaho). Born February 6, 1950, he passed away on February 21, 2020. Larry leaves behind his beloved wife Linda, two sons Bryce and Brett, daughter-in-law Gina, a step-daughter Kristine Terrell, three grandsons (Mason, Sam and Brennan), and surviving brothers and sisters. Larry loved his family more than life.

Larry was a jack of all trades. His life was spent learning how to do almost anything, from water quality analysis, creating and managing businesses, and long-haul trucking, to authoring and publishing a book. He graduated from a local Boise high school, attended business classes at BSU, and graduated from BSU’s truck driving school. He had a variety of different jobs over his lifetime that gave him a well-rounded set of skills. He used those skills to create a wonderful home and life for his wife. No man worked harder to secure his home and future for his family. He will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, Larry would ask to donate to his favorite charities: St. Jude’s Hospital and Salvation Army.
