Laurene Elizabeth Lindersmith Roberts was born on June 2, 1955, to Wallace Patrick Cagle and Kathryn Lee Cagle in Ventura, California.

The family, including younger sister Linda, lived in Moorpark, California, and then moved to Avondale, Arizona, where Laurene graduated from Aqua Fria High school in 1972. She was involved in the school paper and continued writing throughout her life.

Laurene was adopted by Jack Lindersmith and had one half-brother and one half-sister.

Laurene moved to Idaho in the early 70s. She was the mother of seven children ~ Patrick, Amanda, Jason, Rosemary, Scott, Julie and Taylor ~ and nine grandchildren.

Laurene was a homemaker throughout her life. Her passion was cooking, and she entered many cooking competitions throughout her lifetime.

She died on October 11, 2017, in Boise, Idaho, at her youngest daughter’s residence, surrounded by her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise.
