Obituary for Marjorie M. Emery

Marjorie M. Emery, (Marjorie M. Reeve) 100, passed away November 16, 2018 in Boise, Idaho.
Marjorie, born April 10, 1918 in Murtaugh, Idaho to Idetta Ellsworth and Nathan Merrill, grew up on a farm in Richmond, Utah. She attended North Cache High School and graduated from Brigham Young University in physical education. She married the captain of the football team and love of her life, Wayne Reeve, on September 19, 1941. After military service, Wayne received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. They then moved to Kansas City where they lived for 22 years before Wayne’s death in 1972. Marjorie moved to Salt Lake City in 1974 where she continued to serve on the General Board of the Relief Society. She married Wesley Emery in 1978 (deceased in 2003) and lived in Utah until moving to Boise in 2014 to be close to a daughter. She will be buried in Kansas City, Missouri beside her husband, Wayne. Services will be held there.
She is survived by her sister, Lamona Brown and six children: Kaythryn (David) Wade, LeeAnn (Lynn) Southam, Dan (Therese) Reeve, Gerry (Paula) Reeve, Craig (Linda, deceased) Reeve and Merrilee (Kelvin) Kupfer. Marjorie had 33 grandchildren and 85 great grandchildren.
Marjorie served in both church and community. She and Wes served missions in Ireland and in Liberty, Missouri as directors of the Liberty Jail Visitors Center.
Marjorie always displayed a happy attitude and was very positive throughout her life. Many people worked with Marjorie in her various leadership roles and shared her enthusiasm for serving the Lord.
