Be the first to offer your condolences on Mary's Tribute Wall
Mary Susan St. Clair Ray, 44 years of age, of Council, Idaho, passed away on March 26, 2022, in Marsing, Idaho.
Interment to be held Friday, April 8, 2022, 11:00am, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho.
Mary was born in Nampa, Idaho, June 6, 1977. Mary was married to Roy Ernest (Ernie) Ray. Mary worked as a Security Officer, Caretaker, Clerk; her best memory of work was helping her dad feed the calves at their dairy farm in Nampa. Mary was an artist, loved needlepoint, arts, crafts, painting; but come summer and sunshine, she could be found enjoying her family, camping by a stream or enjoying the mountains.
Mary was an excellent cook; you never left her home without a yummy meal. Mary loved animals; her last few days, she spent time on the patio basking in the sunshine, enjoying the view across the river of the cows grazing in the green pastures, sharing her memories as a little girl. Mary radiated a sincere kindness as well as a sense of humor you always felt in her presence.
Mary was a life auxiliary member of the DAV and VFW. She was always in attendance and giving service to the DAV, she cared greatly about the Veterans, and she disliked conflict of any kind. Ernie and Mary have many close friends who served in the military whom they stay in contact with.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ernie Ray; children, Shelby Lynn and son-in-law William Kramer, Rebeca Noel Moore, Kirah Louise, and Layne Ryan Ray; brother and sisters, Grant and sister-in-law Emanda St. Clair, Julie McConnell, Melanie Moyle, and Noreen Gibson; grandchildren, Peyton and Linda Kramer; stepmom, Carol St. Clair, five stepbrothers and sisters, Debbie Thomson, Nancy Black, Dean Loveland, Becky Abplanalp, Sabrina Opheikens; and tons of nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Rodney Douglas and Virginia Dobbins St. Clair, and her sister, Janice Porter.
Ernie and the family wish to thank the caregivers at St. Luke’s Hospice for their loving care and kindness.
You may leave tributes and acknowledgments on the Relyea Funeral Chapel website, relyeafuneralchapel.com.
