Morton Alan Weiner

Morton Alan Weiner passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019, at his home in Meridian, Idaho. Morton was born to Robert Ruben Weiner and Minerva Matanky Weiner in Chicago, Illinois, on August 15, 1934. They later added a sister, Eileen Weiner Gaffen (Jack), to their family.

Morton graduated from Lindblom High School in Chicago and Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he received a degree in Chemistry.

In 1954, Morton married C. Juanita Adkins Weiner (deceased), and they had three children, Jeffrey (Jean) of Chicago, David (Sue) of Timonium, MD, and Rebecca of Waukegan, IL.

Morton worked in Chicago at Witco Chemicals and as an organic chemist at Abbott Laboratories (industrial division).

Morton married wife Mary Ann (deceased) and relocated to Boise, Idaho, in the early 1980s. He attended College of Idaho, earning a second degree in Counseling. He served as a counselor in a number of venues in the community, including at the women’s prison.

In 1989, Morton married Mary Lou Beck, and they enjoyed 30 years together before his passing. After retirement, Morton particularly enjoyed more time for reading and woodworking.

Morton is predeceased by his parents and his first two wives. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, his children, two grandchildren and his sister.
