Phillip R. Pickett, 72, of Meridian, passed away on February 25th from heart complications. 

Phillip was born on August 26th, 1948 to Moscow and Vesta Pickett in Rexburg, Idaho. Growing up Phil spent a lot of time at his family's cabin where he loved to fish and water ski. Phil liked to play baseball, basketball, and snow ski. He was active in church callings and in scouting where he earned his Eagle Scout Award.

After graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1966, Phil served an LDS mission in Western Canada where he first met his future bride Kathy Mason. Following his mission, he went on to study at Brigham Young University, where Kathy was studying. After marrying in 1971 in the Idaho Falls Temple, Phil graduated with honors from Idaho State University in Business Administration.

After moving to Boise he worked as a salesman until he retired in 2020. He and Kathy had four children, and Phil spent countless hours coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play basketball, baseball, and soccer. He served tirelessly for decades in the Boys Scouts of America and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is predeceased by his parents, Moscow and Vesta, and brothers, Sidney and Mick. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Pickett, his sister, Peggy Jo Price, his four children, Shelby (Mike) McGrath, Jill (Brandon) Rankin, Myles (Carley) Pickett, and Terin Pickett, thirteen grandchildren, Makenna, Mason, Cooper, Brooklyn, Sydney, Skyler, Keaton, Carter, Bridger, Eriksen, Brystal, Colton, McKinlay, and three great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Rhett, and Addilyn.

A private family graveside service will be held March 5th.
