Robert Lynn Ellison, surrounded by his family and loved ones, transitioned to be with the Lord on December 17, 2017.
Bob was born December 13, 1954, in Boise, Idaho, to loving parents Don and Afton Ellison. He graduated from Borah High School and attended Treasure Valley Community College, where he played collegiate tennis. He married Nancy Anne Wilkinson in December 1997. Bob retired after more than 20 years of employment in various managerial positions with Albertsons, Walmart and Associated Foods, working in Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. His favorite leisure activities were fishing and camping, and he enjoyed taking his family or friends whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Bob was a very kind, loving, selfless and generous person. His hallmark trait was his witty sense of humor, and he found immense pleasure in making people smile and laugh. Bob was always looking for ways to help people; in fact, he spent several years of his life caring for his aging parents. He also doted on his beloved Yorkie, Peanut.
Bob is survived by two sons, Kennedy and Daniel; a granddaughter, Sydney; and three brothers, Dennis, Mark and Monty. He is also mourned by two sisters-in-law, Nancie and Linda; four nieces (each of whom Bob called his favorite); five nephews; and many grand-nieces and nephews. All of them loved Bob dearly, and he loved them whole-heartedly.
Bob will be buried on December 21, 2017, at Morris Hill Cemetery. A memorial will take place on December 21, 2017, at 1:00 pm, at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, Idaho, with a viewing from 11-12:45 pm preceding the service.
