Terry Patrick Braden

Terry Patrick Braden was born September 28, 1952, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Pat and Lois Braden. He grew up in Boise, Idaho, where he attended Hawthorne Elementary, South Junior High and graduated from Borah High School in 1970. Terry loved racing his Ford Mustang in high school. During the Vietnam War, he joined the National Guard, where he completed training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

He started to drive trucks and make deliveries when he worked for General Food Service (now Sysco). He met his future wife Brenda while delivering supplies to a local restaurant, Red Steer. They were married in the Ogden, Utah LDS Temple in April of 1980. The family began to grow with the birth of their first child Laura, followed by Joseph, Alana, Adam and Lindsey. Terry loved sports and being outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, tennis and golfing. Most of all he loved to fish - it was a way of life for him. He also played basketball most of his life and inspired all his children to play.

Terry loved being a grandpa (papa). He attended his grandchildren’s sports games, school programs and graduations. He always had a grandbaby in his arms. Terry will be remembered as a loving brother, father and papa.

Terry is survived by his older sister Diane (Brent), younger brothers Cory, Randy (Deana) and Lonnie, as well has his former wife Brenda, and children Laura (Ayad), Joseph (Gina), Alana, Adam (Kelsey) and Lindsey. He was Papa to Ali, Makenna, Aliyah, Amir, Miles and Whitney. He will be deeply missed.
