Ted was born in Selfridge, North Dakota, on November 2, 1940. Enlisting in 1964, he completed basic training in Fort Ord, California, and was assigned to Fort Gorden as an Assistant Drill Instructor. After his discharge in 1966, Ted returned home to care of his mother. Later, he processed metals in the aerospace industry and worked in a Reno, Nevada, casino as a security officer, apprehending hustlers, cheats and thieves. Ted has one daughter who lives in Livingston, Montana, and two grandsons and one granddaughter. He enjoyed BSU football, fishing and antique car/motorcycle shows. Ted’s hobbies include working with his hands at the Activity Center, where he lovingly created toys for his grandchildren.
