Wesley Lavell Paige

March 25, 1976 ~ May 28, 2021 (age 45) 45 Years Old

Tribute

Wesley Lavell Paige was born March 25, 1976 in Boise, Idaho. He attended Cole Elementary School, Fairmont Junior High, and graduated from Capitol High School in 1994.

As a child, Wes loved playing sports, fishing, hunting, and cars. He enjoyed playing with his cousins and friends. Kids from his neighborhood formed their own "sandlot" where they spent hours playing baseball. If Wes and his friends were not playing ball,  they were riding bikes all over town. Sometimes they would even ride all the way to Table Rock.

Family time was an important part of Wes' childhood. His family frequently took trips to Featherville and Deadwood, spent time traveling along the West Coast, and went to ball games.

In high school Wes further developed his love for cars. He started a car club called Cruzen Illusions. The members of the club fixed up cars, worked on stereo systems, and cruised downtown Boise. Wes also played baseball and football in high school. It was in high school where Wes developed a strong work ethic and was a devoted employee. Wes seldom missed a day of work. Through his years of employment Wes formed life-long friendships.

After high school Wes attended Boise State University where he studied Business and Criminal Justice.  While attending college, Wes met the love of his life, Amy Schlattmann. They were friends for several years and eventually started dating. After four years of dating, Wes and Amy married on June 24, 2000. Wes was a dedicated, loyal, and faithful husband.

Wes and Amy had their first child, Abbi, in August of 2006, and later their second child, Dayson, in August of 2011. Wes was a devoted, loving, and caring dad. Wes would drop whatever he was doing to do something for his kids. His kids were his world; his pride and joy. Wes used his love of baseball to coach his kids and many other kids in the community through the Kuna Youth Softball and Baseball Association. One of Wes' happiest places was with his kids on the ball fields. Wes was also a great big brother to his younger sister and Uncle to his niece and nephews.

Wes is survived by his wife, Amy Paige, and his children Abbi and Dayson Paige (Kuna, Idaho), his parents Claude and Linda Paige (Boise, Idaho), his sister Sarah Paige, niece Alexis Paige, and his nephew Sylis Lee (Meridian,  Idaho), and his grandmother Janet Sherrill (Boise, Idaho).

Wes is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Darvell and Kittie Paige, and his maternal grandparents Wesley and Grace Sherrill.

Wes was loved by many, and he will never be forgotten.
