William Elmo Cain passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the age of 94, at Shaw Mountain Assisted Living in Boise, Idaho. Bill was born in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, on May 25, 1925. He served in the Army for two years during World War II in the South Pacific, New Guinea, Philippines and Japan. After returning home, he met and married Winifred June Hall, and they moved to Boise, then to Caldwell where they raised their four children. He worked as a parts manager at two car dealerships. Later, they moved back to Boise, where he was a church custodian and bus driver. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He is preceded in death by his wife, June, and daughter, LaDonna Rhe Milliron. He is survived by sons, Robert Larry (Carol) and Elwin Richland (Donna), and daughter, Alta Rosenia Carlson, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will live in our hearts and memories. We are grateful for all the caregivers and residents of Shaw Mountain who took such tender care of him in the last months of his life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019, 11:00am, at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, with a visitation from 10:00-10:45am prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
