John August Rademacher

July 13, 1928 ~ March 26, 2017 (age 88) 88 Years Old
John August Rademacher, 88, of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home due to natural causes with family and loved ones at his side.
John was born on July 13, 1928 in Pocatello, Idaho, son of John Magnus & Cora Woodvine Rademacher. He was a much loved only child and was raised and educated in Pocatello where he grew up during the great depression and was surrounded by many loving close relatives and friends. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1946. Following graduation, he attended Idaho State University for two years where he studied Accounting. After attending ISU in Pocatello, he finished his education and graduated from Denver University in 1950 with a degree in Accounting. He went on and passed the C.P.A. exam and began his lifelong career in Accounting.
Following his education, John entered the US Army and after a short time completed his military service in the Army Reverves. After the service, John met and married Betty Lou Butler of Emmett, Idaho on March 20, 1954 in Letha, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple.
John was a member of the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants and worked for many years in public accounting; first for Middleton, Learned, & Smith, which later merged with Ernest & Ernest, where he worked diligently as a Manager of the Audit Department, and other public accounting firms. He later worked with private enterprises and recently retired from working with Dr. Russell Griffiths. As a younger man, John thoroughly enjoyed pheasant hunting, snow skiing, waterskiing, and the occasional game of golf. His later years were spent serving and caring for his family.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served for many years in numerous positions … quietly, and unassuming, and never sought credit or accolades. His testimony was deep and abiding and he served with humility wherever he was called. He was a very humble man with a heart of Gold.
John is survived by his wife, Betty of Boise, ID; his three children; Corrine (Larry) Remm of El Mirage, AZ, Dorn (Holley) Rademacher of Boise, ID, and Ann Marie Rademacher, also of Boise, Idaho. He also is survived by six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two cousins; four sisters-in-law; a brother in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him dearly. The family suggests that donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund, General Missionary Fund, or a charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Bitteroot Ward LDS Chapel, located at 1111 S. Cole Rd., Boise.
