Our deepest condolences to Don's family and loved ones. Having served on the Boise Police Dept. with Don during the 70s until he retired in the early 80's I can sincerely say that he served very well and honorably and that he was a good man. It is my honor to have known him, to have worked with him and to say that he was one of my Sergeants who influenced me in a positive way early on in my career. I can still clearly see his smile and when he spoke you listened. Our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Mike and Cookie Prynch

Don was a good cop and well respected. I enjoyed serving with him and working for him on the night shifts. I will miss him, as will others, not only from the department, but his family and many friends as well. Rest in peace Don, you earned it.

Don was part of the 'old guard' when I joined BPD in 1971. These guys had it together, knee the ropes, and would accept us kids after a period of scrutiny, seeing how we reacted, if we could be counted on in a scrap, and what kind of a sense of humor we had! When Don was a Det. Sgt. he was showing off a little. He stood next to a desk, put his right foot flat-footed on the top, then slowly raised his whole body to stand upright using just his one thigh! That's tough. I enjoyed his horse/mule/packing/hunting wisdom, too. I'll have to admit I was always in awe of Sgt. Don! God bless the family.
